What is LOAD?

LOAD is an AI endurance coach for triathletes, runners and cyclists. Athletes talk to their coach about any question, from tomorrow's session to next season, and plan, track and review their training with it.

Who is LOAD for?

Triathletes first, then runners and cyclists. It suits athletes who want structured, personal coaching and want to understand the reasons behind their training, rather than follow a fixed plan.

How is LOAD different from a training plan app?

A training plan app gives you a plan to follow, generated or adaptive. LOAD is a coach you talk to: you can ask about anything that affects your training, and it explains its thinking so you can decide together.

Does LOAD replace a human coach?

For many athletes, it does the day-to-day job of one: planning, reviewing and adjusting training, and answering questions whenever they come up. It doesn't offer face-to-face sessions, such as technique work on the pool deck.

Which sports does LOAD support?

Swimming, cycling and running, including triathlon, duathlon and other multisport. Strength sessions are tracked too, and other activities can be logged so the coach sees your whole week.

Which devices and apps does LOAD work with?

Wahoo, Hammerhead, Polar and Garmin have two-way sync: completed activities sync automatically and planned workouts go straight to your device. With Garmin, activities sync from the moment you connect, and you can add older ones by uploading your own files. Planned workouts can be exported for TrainingPeaks, TrainingPeaks Virtual and Zwift. Two-way sync with TrainingPeaks, COROS and Suunto is coming. See What LOAD connects to.

Can I use LOAD on my phone?

Yes. LOAD has a phone app that works like an app-store app, with notifications and an unread badge on its icon. You install it from inside LOAD: open LOAD on your computer and follow Get LOAD on your phone. On a computer, LOAD runs in your web browser.

How much does LOAD cost?

$25 a month in the US, £20 in the UK and €25 in Europe.

How do I get access?

LOAD is open to Founding Athletes, in small invite-only cohorts. Request an invite and tell us your sport and where your training lives.

What do Founding Athletes get?

A direct line to LOAD's founder and an early look at what's built next.

Does LOAD give medical advice?

No. LOAD is a training tool. For injury, illness or any health concern, see a qualified professional.

What happens to my training data?

Your data is used to coach you. You choose which devices to connect and can disconnect them at any time. See the privacy policy for the details.

Who is behind LOAD?

LOAD was founded by Nick Buckley-Mills, a Team GBR age-group triathlete who has spent more than 25 years building technology companies. Read Our story.
